Joyful Meals came into existance in March 2020 when South Africa implemented one of the strictest lockdown in the world. During this period the poor communities were struggling to put food on the table and many people were unable to continue with their jobs. Children in Diepsloot previously looked for aide in their community but the lockdown created a deep problem. Joyful Meals started providing 100 meals to the Diepsloot community with the help of Pastor Freddie. They now continue to deliver weekly meals feeding about 600 children.
